Jim retired from Motor Convoy in 1991, where he was a truck driver. He was also a farmer, fertilizer dealer and he proudly served his community by driving a dump truck. He was a lifelong fan of harness racing and a member of the U. S. Trotting Association. After buying his first horse in 1975, he would continue to train and drive horses for over 40 years, which was something he loved to share with his family. He retired from driving in 2013 at the age of 80. His best horse, Hoosier Favorite, set four track records during his racing career. Jim was an avid golfer and enjoyed golfing with his sons. The bidding will extend in 5 minute increments from the time the last bid is placed until there are no more bids, and the lot sits idle for 5 minutes. Therefore, the auction will not close until all bidding parties are satisfied and no one can be outbid in the last seconds without having another opportunity to bid again.
